A simple button fighting game with no command inputs and a focus on spacing and footsies. A project during my time in UCI Video Game Development Club. Worked with a team on a relatively new project as past code was planned to be reworked heavily from the ground up.

I worked with a lot of talented programmers and artists to bring this project to life in a relatively short amount of time. I have regrets with how I did the tutorial and teaching aspect, but it was a great experience implementing fighting-game specific elements that I was already very familiar with. I took a great deal of time testing and fine tuning interactions to balance each character’s reach with their special abilities and archetype.
